[REVIEW] Skin Food Gold Kiwi Toner and Emulsion

Hi everyone!

Sifting through my samples and Korean cosmetics that I bought in the summer, I stumbled upon a tiny box with two bottles inside.  The box is from Skin Food where I remember buying the Argan Oil Silk Hair Moist Pack and I guess I got this for free!

I did an Argan Oil Hair Pack review here

It's labeled the Gold Kiwi Gift Set and inside, there is a bottle of toner and a bottle of emulsion.

I remember seeing emulsion for the first time in Korean cosmetics and wondering, "What in the world is this?!"
I did a bit of research and discovered that it's a watery lotion that people use as a daily moisturizer or as a primer before applying foundation.

비매품: Not for sale (?)

The box includes a phone number, website and where it's made from!  Yay Korea!

Cute pictures of kiwis here ^^

Emulsion ^
-liquid-like consistency

Toner ^
-clear, very slight alcoholic odour
-a bit sticky if rubbed together with hands

I know that it's only a tester but it was extremely difficult to get the lotion out of the bottle.  I had to hit the opening repeatedly against my palm until some came out.

The smell of the emulsion and toner are basically the same.  They don't smell like kiwi or gold but they smell really nice, like clean laundry nice.  I am horrible at deciphering smells so I apologize for that.  Also, the smell isn't very strong so it's pretty "nose friendly". :)

I used the combination together before going to sleep.  I washed my face first with Etude House's Baking Powder (I did a review of this here) and then wiped my face with toner, followed by the emulsion.

When I woke up, I was surprised to find my face feeling well moisturized and soft, and not as oily as usual.  But, that may be because I am normally too lazy to wash my face before I go to bed.. woops!

In conclusion, I thought this was a cute tester that I should save for travel because it's really cute and small (around 5.5cm height including cap).

I'm not sure whether I would buy the full bottles of toner and emulsion because there are so many different brands in Korea that are around the same price.  I didn't feel anything that made me want to buy it again so I think I will try other brands before making a decision.

As always,

I'm Melissa and thank you for reading :)
